October Film Marathon – Day Twenty Two: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)

Welcome to my October Film Marathon. Each day I will be watching a Halloween/Autumnal themed film and will be posting a review.

Today is the 22nd of October and I will be reviewing one of my all time favourite films, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre!

What a terrific, revolutionary film this was. Sally, Franklin and their three friends run out of gas while driving to their grandfather’s house. One by one they are tormented and killed by a chainsaw-wielding killer and his psychopathic family. Gunnar Hanson stars as the demented Leatherface, a truly fantastic horror villain. Some truly frightening scenes featured throughout, that stand the test of time and are still terrifying today!
